Gridmere
Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Mökkigames, a game developer based in Finland, about playing Gridmere. By creating an account or playing, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not play. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian to accept these terms and to make purchases.
2. Your account
- Give a real email address that you can access. It is the only way to reset your password or prove the account is yours.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Do not sell, buy, share or give away accounts.
- We can change a username that is offensive or pretends to be someone else.
3. Rules
When you play Gridmere, do not:
- cheat, use bots, macros or modified game clients, or use bugs to gain an advantage. Report bugs to us instead,
- harass, threaten or bully other players, or post hate speech, sexual content or anything illegal,
- scam players, or lie about a trade to trick someone,
- pretend to be a staff member or another player,
- spam, or advertise other games, services or websites,
- sell or buy items, coins, worlds or accounts for real money or anything outside the game,
- share someone else's personal information,
- attack, overload or try to break into our servers,
- make new accounts to get around a ban.
The game rules shown in the game are part of these terms.
4. Content you create
You keep the rights to what you create in Gridmere, such as worlds, builds, signs and messages. You give Mökkigames a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, show, copy and adapt that content to run the game and to promote it, for example in screenshots and trailers. The license continues after you stop playing for content that stays in the game, such as builds in other players' worlds.
Only create content you have the right to share. We can remove any content that breaks these terms or the law.
5. Moderation and reporting
Our staff moderators and automatic systems enforce these terms. The automatic systems are a chat filter, anti-cheat and anti-bot checks. The Privacy Policy explains what they do.
Depending on how serious and how repeated a violation is, we can:
- warn you,
- mute your chat,
- remove you from a world or the game,
- remove content,
- remove items or coins gained by cheating, exploiting bugs or breaking these terms,
- suspend or permanently ban your account, and ban the devices or IP addresses used for it.
When we restrict your account, the game tells you the reason and how long the restriction lasts. If you think we made a mistake, email support@mokkigames.com from the email address of your account within 6 months. A person will review the decision and reply.
To report a player or a world, use the in-game report button or the /report command. To report illegal content, you can also email us: tell us what the content is, where it is in the game and why you think it is illegal, and confirm that you believe your report is accurate and complete. We review every report. When you report by email, we confirm that we received it and tell you what we decided.
6. Virtual items and coins
Items, coins, tokens and worlds in Gridmere are part of the game. You get a personal license to use them in the game. You do not own them, they have no value outside the game, and they cannot be exchanged for money.
We keep developing the game, so we can change how items, prices, worlds and features work. Trading and dropping items is at your own risk: we do not return items lost in trades, scams or mistakes. If a server problem loses or duplicates items, we can restore or roll back the affected data.
7. Purchases
You can buy coins and items with real money through Google Play. Google Play's terms also apply to those purchases, and Google handles the payment. We deliver what you bought to your account as soon as Google confirms the payment.
Because we deliver immediately, you agree when buying that your right to withdraw from the purchase ends once it is delivered. You can ask for refunds through Google Play's refund process. This does not limit your legal rights if a purchase is faulty or not delivered.
If a purchase is refunded or charged back, we remove what it gave you, even if this makes your coin balance negative. A second refund or chargeback of this kind suspends the account for one year. Refunds for a purchase that was faulty or not delivered, and refunds we give you ourselves, do not count toward this.
If your account is banned for breaking these terms, you lose what you bought with it.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop playing at any time and delete your account, as explained on the account deletion page.
We can end this agreement and close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. If we shut Gridmere down, we will announce it in the game and on our Discord at least 30 days before.
9. Availability and liability
Gridmere is an online game that is still being developed. We try to keep it running and working, but it can have bugs, maintenance breaks and downtime, and we cannot promise it will always be available.
We are not liable for indirect losses, such as loss of profit, or for losses caused by things outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
10. Changes to these terms
We can change these terms, for example when the game or the law changes. We update the date at the top, and if a change is important we tell players in the game or on our Discord before it takes effect. If you do not accept the new terms, stop playing and delete your account.
11. Law and disputes
Finnish law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can take a dispute to the courts there.
Please contact us first so we can try to solve the problem. Consumers in Finland can also get help from the Consumer Advisory Services and take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). Consumers in other EU countries can get help from the European Consumer Centre in their country.
